I’m Dr Ingrid Kanuga, and I specialise in helping parents understand how their child learns — particularly at key stages such as 11+, 13+, SATs, and GCSEs.
My work focuses on providing clear insight into how a child thinks, processes information, and approaches learning, so that parents can support them with confidence.
I have over 20 years of experience in education, research, and applied learning science, supporting children, families, and educators.
I use structured learning assessments (similar to CAT4), combined with insight into learning behaviours and attitudes, to build a complete picture of both ability and mindset.
This means we understand not just what your child can do, but how they approach learning and what may be helping or holding them back.
The outcome is a clear, practical report with recommendations that can be used at home and shared with schools.
As both an educator and a parent, I understand how frustrating it can feel when a child is capable but not thriving in their learning.
Parents are often given general advice, but not a clear explanation of why their child is struggling or what to do next.
My aim is to provide clarity, reassurance, and a clear path forward — so you can support your child in a way that is structured, effective, and realistic.

I have also contributed to conferences, publications, and professional development for educators, sharing evidence-informed approaches to learning and teaching.
